I have not seen that problem with my Orion II with the new firmware .
Have you tried a master reset ?

Hello all , I just found a problem with this new download for the Orion II .
After a short transmission on 10 meters the entire scope turns red and it is
followed by white verticle lines going from top to bottom . This happens on all
the bands when I transmit . This has just recently poped up . for your info .
