I am not sure I want to take the time to download this update. Doesn't TT
understand the concept of disciplined testing, even before release of a beta
version? That means exercising all possible combinations of paths and user
commands. And are they convinced this "red screen of confusion" is not caused
by circuit noise or transmit RF? Do they even have the manpower to apply to
the Orion II, while apparently dedicating more man-hours to reintroducing old
technology (i.e. speech pprocessors)? I don't want to be negative on TT, when
I bought my O-II I did primarily because I wanted to support an American
company in this onslaught of Japanese engineering excellence (probably the last
American company we'll see unless K and Flex can survive, and avoid going the
way of GM and Chrysler)... but enough is enough. TT you can't continue to
hobby shop this software,..get disciplined... either get the talent you need
for advanced software radio, or subcontract it out, or drop it and
throw all your talent into speech processors, or maybe sell out to MFJ. Get
serious!
