It all started with my screen adding and dropping pixels which had the effect of adding mostly extra lines and/or deleting parts of lines. The general advice was to re-seat the connecting cable a few times. TT added that it might be that my screen was on the way out.

Sounded as though it was worth a try so I opened up the box and reseated the cable a few times. Seemed to work so I was feeling good. I should have known better! A few days ago I went to change the step and it would not move. It is/was stuck at 100 hz. I can make it move to 1 hz. with an alt/step. A full reset returns it to 100 hz. All of the other functions work normally, ie. Audio level, RF level so I don't believe it's the encoder.

Has anyone else bumped into this and found a cure. There is a second cable next to to the display cable. Can that be the culprit? Any suggestions short of trading in the Jupiter for a K3 et al are welcome.
