A piece of brass tubing in the appropriate size from your local hardware
store will also work slick as snot. If you are too cheap to purchase a
piece, some of the brass tubes inside a pen will work.

If it's a MOLEX connector, you can use a small screwdriver to bend
the tab that holds them in so they pop out the other end. You go in
from the "front" and they pop out the back. You can practice on the
disk drive connectors on an old PC power supply. At one time Radio
Shack sold a special tool for it, you put it around the pin and pushed
the plunger.
Maybe someone still sells them.
