Hi Carl,
When I saw the recent postings about the 302 remote encoder it brought up
a
question that I have wondered about for some time.
Before selling it, I originally used an Omni V with a 301 remote encoder.
Subsequently I picked up a Omni VII with a 302 remote encoder. I really
like the Omni VII, however I find that there is no way to adjust the
"drag"
on the 302 tuning knob like you can do on the Omni VII by holding the knob
skirt and rotating the knob.
Since I don't have the 301 any more for comparitive purposes, was it just
the weight of the 301's knob or was there a way of adjusting the drag on
that remote encoder.
It seems that all I have to do is just touch the 302's case and the
frequency jumps. Can one of the older knobs be used on the 302?

Yes, the Orion and Omni VII (and also Jupiter/Pegasus) use the same pod.

If it's the same as the one for the Orion I have one. It
isn't "perfect" but is "nice", I don't use it and would
send it out on approval. I have no idea what it is worth
these days.
