Richards,
I had two of the earlier models of the 715 and made many DX contacts with an
Argosy on twenty meters running 50 watts. It made a difference. Just worked
another ham in upstate NY this week and he was using one and it sounded
great and made a big difference when he switched it in and out.
I read the QST article and it is accurate from my experience. I should
never of sold my old units.
