I bought a narrow filter for my Corsair II not long after I bought the
radio. But I found I could achieve very narrow passbands with the pass
band tuning and the stock SSB filters. Perhaps not with as steep slopes
as the narrow filter and I had only two choices of center frequency
range so it was half a year before I opened up the Corsair II to add the
500 Hz filter. I still can't see it was worth the bother. However, since
many perceive the need for that narrow filter without ever using the
pass band tuning to achieve its effect, I'll keep it until I sell the
radio.
