It has been a bit since I read the owner's manual of my Orion 2. However, I
believe it said that to record I must use the Ten Tec internal keyer. It
works fine using the internal keyer and an iambic paddle.

I'm new to my Orion 1 and have just tried memorizing a CW call into SEND 1.
The memory indicates the number of characters memorized, which I then
RECORD. I then STOP, but when I press PLAY to check it nothing happens . I
then Exit and as if normally operating I press SEND 1 - nothing happens. I
am using a straight keyer - is this the problem ?.
Help appreciated
