I believe the replacements are common 1N34s.... I sold my working Omni D to a good friend who just became a Ham and two weeks afterward, its power dropped off. He called TenTec and was told to go to Radio Shack and pick up a package of 1N34s and replace the diodes on the SWR board. Being a new ham with little repair experience, he was initially reluctant, but received the typical outstanding support of TT techs and repaired his first radio with much pride.

The power output of my OMNI has dropped to around 30 watts, as measured

load -(1:1 indicated on the external power meter).

Any ideas?

ALC/power detector diodes. I've heard of it before.
