I have observed this, and it doesn't seem to affect operation, but it is very odd... Only happens in the 28.0 and 29.0 bands. When rotating the RESONATE control through the 7-14 MHz region, I hit these points where I get a little pop; if I am careful, I can tune in this sqealing noise. The resonate control works well enough otherwise, bringing the bandground noise up when turned to the region of the band. Check the 9MHz null according to the manual. No issue there. Is that normal? I wonder if I have a little oscillation in the RF amplifier section. -- David Goncalves W1EUJ _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
