Having owned a Pegasus and Jupiter, currently own Corsair II and 2 Triton IV's, I think you are making a wise decision. Hams are a lot like trapshooters, always looking for something different, so I don't think you will have a problem working a trade.

Good evening to the group,

This may appear stupid (or sacrilegious or something in that ballpark) to some or all, but I have a bit of a personal dilemma, and was wondering if
anyone would be willing to help...

Long story, short, I solicited recommendations from the group on a
good starter rig within my budget. The Pegasus won hands down, but due to
my computer arrangements, shack, and personal prefs on computer controlled
rigs, I decided I would find a great, near mint Jupiter (a.k.a Pegasus with
a front panel and those knobs and buttons that I like so much). While
waiting on the deal to complete, I had the opportunity to try out another
ham's Ten-Tec station and fell in love with the older style Ten-Tec rigs.
The layout, the no-nonsense controls, the performance, and to a certain
degree the appearance of the rigs struck a chord with me. The Jupiter,
while a great little rig, and all kinds of nifty features, just did not
"light my fire," so to speak, as the older rigs did. I know... I should
have perused the whole test drive bit before striking out on a deal. With
that in mind, I knew the individual whom I was purchasing the Jupiter from
had a Paragon he was thinking about getting rid of, and I attempted to
switch off with him. That did not work out, and I still have a Jupiter on
the way.

So... Here's where the request comes in... Would anyone be willing to
trade my inbound Jupiter (along with the 963 p/s and the 708 desk mic I
bought from Ten-Tec last week in anticipation of the inbound Jupiter) for an
older Ten Tec rig? Paragon I/II, Omni D (later with WARC), Corsair I/II,
Omni V... something along those lines and p/s, accys if do-able?

Some may balk at my wanting an older rig. I have my reasons. Some
may try to talk me out of it or chew me out for such a proposition... please
don't. This is my desire. I figured it was worth a try, and there was a
possibility of making two people very happy (someone who had older gear and
wanted a Jupiter and me who had a Jupiter and wanted older gear).

Thank you in advance,
Jeramy / W5XTL
