Hi Ron- TT at one time had a battery pack for AA alkalines. I may have
a manual which I can copy for you. DO NOT put 12 volts on the radio as
that will KILL the processor. I believe the original pack contained 7
Ni-Cads. I got out of my 2591s some time ago.

Just found a 2591 2 Meter HT at a very reasonable price. I've wanted one of
those since back when I was selling them, and never mind how far back that
was! (Suffice to say that that predates my getting my Extra...)
The unit is coming without any battery packs, just the car adapter. So, if
anyone has any battery packs (any condition, even if the NiCads are dead),
let's talk.
E-mail me directly at wn3vaw@verizon.net
Thanks!
