The Scout had an excellent noise blanker, and the circuit is not complicated, just 2 IC's and a few transistors. Perhaps you could duplicate it on perf board and fit it inside the Triton.

Reading comments on eham and elsewhere, the Triton noise blanker is made
out to be fantastic!

For an example of a useless NB, try my Omni V. Does almost nothing. I used
Corsairs for years and have to agree that their NBs were also mostly
useless.

I had a Paragon II until recently and that one seemed a bit better,
depending on the noise source. It did occasionally blank some types of
noise.

The blanker in the FT-102 is actually quite effective and useful, so that
is my main rig this summer. Been setting up portable on the back patio
with an end fed half wave and the noise is ferocious at times. I think my
neighbor has a funky plasma TV or something. When she is out, one layer of
obnoxious sizzle disappears.

The Triton 544 is decent at hearing through noise and static but I'd sure
love a working blanker, especially since it doesn't have any audio
adjustments--tone, BP/fade, notch, etc.--to work around the noise.
Otherwise, it's a great back porch rig!
