Hi Dave,
About 10 or 15 years ago there was a compound called Stabilant 22 to improve
connectivity for the kind of contacts you are dealing with. I had contact
problems with a TS-830 and I reset the plugs and it was good for awhile but
it started again so I bit the bullit and bought a 15ML bottle for about $40.
Well it worked for several years after I did it and as far as I know it's
probably still is.
I still have probably 3/4 of a bottle left as I have used it a couple of
times since then so it goes a long way as I have used it on tube sockets and
other plugs on rigs I have here like my Corsair 2 and other rigs.
If you Google Stabilan 22 there are several companies who sell it but it's
not cheap but well worth the money.
Hope this helps you.

                                       cu es 73
                                                 Dave K6WRF
