I don't think it's a case of 'dumping'. The Eagle has been launched. I have
bought an Omni VII and love it. Now, with 2 Omni VI+ that have Inrad roofing
mods and a full set of Inrad filters, I must consider how many rigs I can
support. There are a pair of Herc II's with power supplies for them, also. I
love them. They are better than anything I 'need', but a newer rig beckoned.
It's a sickness, but I've got it.
I think that's why there are more than usual available now. They still command
a good price and are great rigs. Much lesser transceivers can put you on the
Honor Roll for DX, put you at the top of the contest ladder or provide great
daily rag chews.
On another note, anybody got a cool way to make the Herc II follow band changes
on the Omni VII. I love that in the 'Remote' position, they follow my VI+'s

Tom,
In my case, I sold my Omni VI and a Jupiter to Upgrade to an Orion 1.
I was slow to warm to IF DSP, but having experienced it with the Jupiter, and a
Pegasus I owned before that, I'm Hooked!!
And, admittedly, I'm a bit of a Horse Trader =0)
