If you think that is bad, you should hear my LDG AT-11MP!! It sounds like a
tin can half full of rocks being rolled down the stairs.

Subject: [TenTec] Omni VII Auto tuner

I have recently, like this week, acquired an Omni VII. It is a more than
adequate rig for my modest needs.

I have a simple question about the auto tuner. When engaged, the tuner seems
to emit some sort of buzzing and clicking (I sort of expected some noise).

The sound lasts just a few seconds and the TUNED indicator appears on the
display.

Is it just me or is the noise to be expected?

Just so you understand where I coming from, I have not owned a radio with a
auto tuner nor have I bought a new radio in over 25 years.
