I have for sale my Omni VI which is factory modified (option 3) to the *Omni
VI +.*
This model is arguably one of the better receivers made to date. with a
noise floor (-135dBm [no pre-amp]) Comparable to the best rigs
running pre-amps: and, with the "Dynamic range narrow spaced, at 2 khz"
equal to 80 dB, it is in the top 1/3 of all receivers as tested by a major
filter manufacturer. Additionally, I have installed an *Inrad 'roofing
filter'* for SSB that works with the 9MHz and 6.3 MHz IF's to give truly
amazing selectivity.
*All filter slots are full* with (2) 1.8 khz filters for SSB and (2) 500 hz
filters for CW plus a 250 hz filter for CW.
The Inrad Audio modification has been installed for better sounding audio
output.
Physically: the case is in good condition with no *major *scrapes, scratches
or dings. Lettering is clear and bright. There are a couple of scratches on
the *top* of the aluminum bezel (above the meter) which are about 3/4 of an
inch long (see photos). Other than these, I see only normal wear.
The radio works and works well. I do not know of anything wrong with it
but, I have never run any data modes (only SSB & CW). Ten-Tec break-in cw is
legendary.
In June of 2010 it was sent to Ten- Tec for transmit problems, fixed (2
driver transisters) and completely aligned. it has functioned perfectly
since.
Package includes: Radio, Filters, two power cords, extra mic plug, Copies of
the Ten-Tec Omni VI manual, & VI+ manual [partial], and schematics (all can
be downloaded from Ten-Tec).. Model 705 Ten-Tec Electret Microphone.
Reason for selling: Just purchased an Omni VII...Wife says something has to
go...I prefer it to be the older rig! (not me!).
Asking $1,200.00 Shipped ConUS. PayPal Please.
