Could be the internal relays. Even thought they are sealed air still get in and 
corrosion occurs. Best is to use it and keep switching bands, antennas, and the 
sort see if it goes away.  These Omni's seams to like, to be used.

Also record the room temperature at which is occurs and it may be temperature 
sensitive. See if the room temp rises 5 degrees or lowers 5 degrees or so if it 
comes back or disappears.

Intermittent issues are a pain in the butt. If you can duplicate the problem a 
number of times note what might be causing it.  Time will tell.
