Something that has caused RF feedback in my rigs over the years is a bad jumper coax between rig and antenna switch or tuner. With uses at many field days, it seems coax plugs inevitably get loose on the cable. I have had this happen on 1/4 inch coax and on 1/2 inch coax. The 1/2 inch coax may be more durable, but anything that has to flex and twist on and off seems to suffer this fate at some time.
