The same information was posted on the Alpha site at one time. Try there
first. Essentially, it used the TX-En keying loop of the Omni to key the
Alpha 87A through a diode. Vac Relay models of Alphas did not require that,
but for some reason the PIN-diode switching amps (87A and 89, for two)
needed it.

The Omni-VI and Omni-VI Plus will run QSK CW very nicely with
the Alpha 87A. The normally open relay jack that is used for
keying an external linear amplifier in the Omni-VI was designed
for non-QSK amplifier use and isn't really optimal for QSK.

This very simple hookup uses a pickoff on the Omni-VI QSK
