I use series resistors to the two hot terminals of a stereo phone jack for the headphones and a wirewound rear speaker fader rheostat ( Calrad or Philmore I think ) for the speaker. All of this in a small aluminum box, fed from the external speaker output of the radio. No need for an amplifier.I have situations here that require the op to wear headphones in addition to using the speaker. The K3 can do this, but not the 565, or at least I don' t think so without having to add on an external mixer and amp. DE N6KB |
