I purchased my 2nd Omni VII via E-Bay described as "non working, for parts
only". About 3 hours of my time and $2.50 in parts brought it to life in
mint condition is all aspects. However, they are not all that easy and
inexpensive to repair.

Abandon all hope ye who enter here. The cabinet screws probably were not
damaged.

I have a friend, NOT me, who mistakenly got the amp into the antenna jack
on
his Omni 6. I don't even own an amp, nor would I! hi hi hi
He has replaced the pin diodes, and done some other trouble shooting, but
the receiver is still inoperative. Does anyone have suggestions I can
pass
on to him?
