For the Omni VII and Eagle, you do not have to worry about keying the
preselector's radio.
Both of those Ten-Tecs have provisioned for inserting the preselector in the
receiver's circuitry, out of the TX path.
Also, you don't need any gain, all that one needs today is improved
preselection.
Our current radios are sensitive enough.

I really love the PT-3 I bought in the late 1980s. I bought it because my
Sony IFC-2010 just did not have the RF gain I wanted. I later bought a
Kenwood R-5000 and an NRD-535 and while they both had the gain, the
PT-3 was still appreciated.
I did the second receiver mod, which allows you to have a second receiver
connected and both mutes it and protects it from RF "leakage"
from the transmitter.
It claims to have 18db gain, I can't verify or disprove it, but mine added
at least 10db gain by my various S meters.
The preselector is also good, but I can't measure it or even approximate at
the moment.
The only problem with it in a TenTec context is that it is time delayed QSK
not full QSK. I'm sure you can set the delay time to be very short, but
probably not short enough for QSK, even at slow speeds.
I think they are still sold.
