Curt, it sounds RF could be getting back into the letter wiring and triggering
it falsely. Did you check the ground wiring.

Sometimes the keyer on my recently purchased Corsair II will go crazy. The
first dit will produce of string of continuous dit dah that can only be
interrupted by turning the radio off. Wondering if others have experienced
similar behavior.
