        Right. It is.  The auto tuner mentioned is
        the Palstar AT-AUTO  -- but I have it bypassed
        as the antenna is a resonant ground plane.

The input impedance changes with drive, so I've been told. Therefore, I allow the auto tuner to tune the antennas in bypass mode then ture off the auto tuner when driving the Amp.I may be all wet, but it works for me


        I get that, but in this case, I only mentioned the
        auto tuner in order to give a complete picture
        of my setup.   I bypass the tuner with this
        antenna all the time because it is a resonant
        quarter wave ground plane.
