This year marks my 3rd Field Day in a row with my 'VI. It is only a option 1
but every filter slot is filled and it has the INRAD 500Hz Roofing Filter
Mod. This year band conditions were extremely challenging for us up here in
the NW, this morning 15M was so bad in the morning that I thought someone
smoked the front end of the radio, it was fine, the band was that dead. We
had 3 HF towers up, each with a tri-band yagi. The only band that was open
was 20M. So I went over to the main CW tent and asked them to stay below
14.035, so I could operate above 14.050. The SSB guys were running up around
14.225 or so. It worked like a champ. The towers were separated by 275 to
300 feet, we experienced similar performance from my 'VI on 40M & 15M but
only two stations at once. I have no reason to doubt claims by INRAD of
96db. The radio's ability to dig down deep and copy weak stations is simply
amazing.

In all fairness the other rigs were a K-3 (CW) and a IC-756 Pro II. I will
stick with my Ten Tec and continue to dream of getting an Orion II one day.
