Matteo,since you recently had other diode problems, I would look to see if the ALC circuit boards detect RF on board, with more diodes and one or more may be bad. Sounds like the radio may have had a power surge or lightning damage.Even static electricity build up can be harmful to a radio left plugged into an antenna.
