Well, my trusty 35 watt Weller/Ungar seems to have lost a lot of oomph over
the last 20 years. There was no way it was up to the task of rebuilding the
PA.
So I ordered a 5mm wide chisel tip heater for my solder station. Both the
heater and the repair parts came today and removal/replacement went without
a hitch.
Both power transistors measured bad, one was 200 ohm collector to emitter,
both directions.
Final assembly and power-on has to wait till tomorrow
