My clock in Paragon II was acting goofy, wierd symbols, clock quit each time I shut off rig, so I located a chip-DS 1287A+ which was purported to be direct replacement. Installed it, KNOWING it had an additional pin(reset) as board had a spot for it. Clock now acts as a run time counter. Starts back up at whatever time was when rig was shut off. I clipped the reset pin off, and verified no contact , with same results. Anyone have an idea on this one? thanks, Mark K8VF _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
