John,
I think it is sold. Guy is to pick up & pay on Tue. I'll let you know either
way
I had 3 of them and loved every one. Better than my Corsair II's were.
Now I run an Omni VII and an Orion II. Neither one beats the Omni VI+ Rx. But I
gotta thin the herd

Congrats on age 76. Hope you have many, many more. Age here is 69

Dave, I have an Omni Six Plus and like it very much. I think I have had it over
20 years. I don't know why, but I feel that I would like to own another one. I
have learned that Ten Tec will not accept them in trade because of the age of
the gear. Stan Brock, at Ten Tec, told me that recently.

I am almost 76 and I know your position regarding being shaky. I recently had
Cataract surgery and am wearing bifocals for computer, reading and and radio
service on "boatanchors". I don't do any repair on my solid state or printed
circuit stuff.

In a bind, my son N5ASM, Extra Class and Engineer can be talked into taking a
look at a piece of gear.

I owned TWO Collins KWM 380 transceivers at the same time, when Rockwell
Collins announced that they would no longer offer parts and repair support for
the KWM 380. I kinda panicked and sold them both, because I couldn't work on
them and N5ASM was spending half of his time flying Coast to Coast as Vice
president of engineering for his company.

I have been licensed for 56 years and my wife, K5MOL, has been licensed for 53
years so N5ASM is a full blooded eligible for registration electronics hound. I
have told K5MOL, my business manager ( life manager for 54 years) that I am
interested in your Omni VI Plus. She managed a GRUNT, which is a hopeful sign.
So much for the Old Fart Filibuster, Dave. 73, John, K5PGW

I have a TenTec Omni VI+ Ser No 12A10277 for sale.

Fully loaded with the following filters:

6.3 MHz IF

Standard replaced with InRad #755 2800 Hz

1.8 KHz Slot = TenTec #288

500 KHz Slot = TenTec #285

250 Hz Slot = TenTec #282

9 MHz IF

Standard = TenTec #48058

N1 = InRad #761 1.8 KHz

N2 = InRad #753 400 Hz

Roofing Filter

InRad Roofing Filter Mod installed with InRad # 763 600 Hz Filter

This is a true Omni VI+

Excellent physical condition

The caveat,

While it works perfectly otherwise, both the 17M & 20M bands are dead. This
indicates diode D37 on the L.O. board. However, with age, I have developed a
quiver in my hands which precludes making a repair.

Therefore, the rig must go to a better home

I will sell to USA only

$800 includes shipping & insurance via FedEX to lower 48

KL7 & KH6 must pay higher shipping

I can take PayPal, USPS MO or personal check (check must clear before
shipment).

Of course the manual is included

Transceiver is sold “AS IS”
