John,
Yes, that is the way that I do it. I have USER1 set for SSB/CW and
USER2 for digital. It takes about 20 seconds for the rig to switch
between the two.

I need some help priming my feeble brain! :-{ I have become interested in
trying JT65 and JT9 modes. I have the WSJT-X software and have been able to
copy well with both modes. I have even gotten brave enough to try to get the
VOX keying mode to work. But I find it means changing a lot of settings. I
have to set the trip and antivox levels to the minimum and also want to set
the audio out on the AUX connector to just "left" vs. "Both." I have never
used the USER settings. Is this a good example of USER 1 being normal and
USER 2 being "DIGITAL"? Looking at the manual, it seems to indicate that is
what should happen, but does anyone have experience that will confirm my
thoughts? I also want to control the power level and drive settings.
Thanks and 73,
John
