If someone is really uncertain what frequency they are on, then there are
several ways of measuring. Send CQ in CW for example. There are reversed beacon
networks and various other tools on the Internet that will report on your
signal. The CW clubs monitoring website, various sites amalgamate this data for
numerous CW clubs if you are a member of any of them. Within seconds of putting
out a CQ, you will get frequency readings from multiple reception sites.
