OK but the SB-104 came later.
The Triton and SS-100 were 1974/75.
Until that time, transistors had only been used in our receivers, not in our
transmitters.
Peaking the TX drive control does not disqualify the Argonaut of the honor
of being the first 5 band transistorized transceiver. Of course the 509
which soon followed, did away with the need to peak the driver.
Anyone have any idea how to find first shipment dates on these radios?

Don't forget the heathkit sb-104
True solid state with NO tuning.
Even the TT 505 you had to peak the resonate control.
