Hi Lee,
     The IC-737 didn't do too badly for being a 20 year old radio. I
added an INRAD 400 hz filter and an Icom 500 hz filter after
purchasing the rig and it has held its own. The Eagle is quieter, has
an effective noise blanker and you can narrow the bandwidth down to
100 hz and still receive a weak station. No ringing at all. I like it.
