The oscillator in the Orion for the serial port that causes it run to run at 57600 baud may have drifted off frequency just enough to cause an error when lots of data is being sent to it. I do remember way back that some Orions ran better at 56000 baud. Does the firmware updater allow you to change the baud rate?

Has anybody else ran across this issue or have some informed suggestions?
My logging software communicates fine with my Orion II but the latest
Updater (v4.15) reports communincation failure over the same serial port.
I've tried master reset/ram clear and power cycling without success. The
exact same serial port (not a USB adapter) will flash my other Orions fine.

Thanks& Happy New Year,
