I am one of the lucky recipients of a new Omni VII received right at
Christmas, and I have been getting used to all the features that were never
before available to me. One is the amazing OnePlug remote operating program.
Once I got it set up and configured my router, it really works pretty well
with no need for a computer at the rig and full control available. So far,
I've only played with SSB, but I'd like to get the digital modes working as
well. I certainly can receive the audio in the laptop speakers or headset,
but other than picking it up on a built-in laptop microphone I haven't been
able to route it to a program like Fldigi or DM780. The problem may well be
in my laptop as I find the Win7 Pro 64bit application frustrating trying to
set audio levels and sources...just getting a mic to work so I could send
SSB was the main problem I had with setting up remotely. Has anyone got
their Omni working PSK31 through OnePlug?
