well an update…attended the Puyallup swap meet yesterday and came back with a 
JPS NRF-7 noise eliminator…I think it uses a bunch of op amps and also think 
there is an eprom chip in there.
I used it for a few hours this am, and it seems to get rid of a lot of the band 
hiss without adding distortion to ssb voices.
Anyone else play with one of these?
