*Hello Guys,*
* Wade here KJ4WS. First, Thanks Jim, for the vote of
confidence. I believe that we also rebuilt the audio board for Ron's
Argonaut Model 505. I still have the pictures where the small drill bit
went all the way through my finger Ron. The story of this Omni D has
touched my heart. I do know how you feel Steve, because we still have the
Drake Marker Luxury, 12 channel Two Meter Rig and the T.R. McElroy Bug,
given to me by my old Elmer so many years ago. Steve, I would be very proud
to have a go at your Omni D. Currently we have a very stubborn Omni 6 Plus
and an Icom IC-706MKIIG on the get finished list. Problem is that at 5:30
AM in the morning, my Miss Brenda, is going into the Centennial Women's
Hospital for Major Surgery. So, if time is not an issue, I would be very
glad to take a shot at the repair of your Rig. My time will be limited for
the next few weeks? Or we may have all the time we need while attending to
the Love of my Life. Miss Brenda/KK4CJG. Before the Omni 7's and Orion's
started showing up. We cut our teeth so to speak on the older Rigs. The
Argonaut, Corsair, Paragon, Omni D and others. I am disabled with lung
problems and simply do not get in a hurry. Let me get that fact out and
into the open very clearly. And to the owner of the current and very
stubborn Omni 6 Plus. Who we are sure will read this post. I have made some
progress but don't know for sure yet if we are 100% on the right track. I
have found a couple of things that Ten Tec might have missed. Ten Tec, is
World Class and Legendary where their Service Department is concerned. They
just can't spend the time, to Economically go into intermittent problems
and Stubborn Rigs. They must choose between what is Economical or Not at
their current $125.00 per hour labor rate. My rates are Very
Reasonable. And unless we repair the Rig to your satisfaction, you are only
risking the shipping costs both ways. Sent to the reflector simply because
Ron or Jim may want to jump in with comments. And also to ask everyone to
keep my Miss Brenda, in their Prayers as she undergoes her surgery.*
