I am looking for someone living in Northeastern Washington.
A longtime friend of mine just passed his technician license last week and
expects to take the General within a month to 6 weeks. He's an older guy
like me, retired and living out in the sticks with lots of tall trees.
He is very smart, retired petroleum engineer, but zero former knowledge of
ham radio.
His short term plan is to upgrade to General before doing anything else,
then he wants to install a home station and a mobile in his RV.
I'm looking for someone living in the area to be an Elmer to him.
I can help with ideas from here but can't actually go there or meet in
person to help.
As for first starter radio, we are considering a Jupiter, if anyone has one
to spare.
Please contact me OFF REFLECTOR.

Tnx.
