I agree.
Also, I have seen in Heath HW7 and HW8 models cases in which the Ferrite cores
actually changed their permeabilities, greatly changing their operating
inductances.
With so many possibilities on Argo V, I am not willing to go down the path the
finding which one has changed.
I may get some connectors and make up the three engender cables and try to fix
it that way.
The root cause may indeed by that which you have described. I just want to make
sure I go to the right one rather than shotgunning it.
