Are you sure about the 80C32?
That device in a 40 pin dip package was end of life a year ago from all but
Dallas and a subtle difference in their architecture can result in different
performance when substituted for others following INTEL device.
I manufacture a product which uses the 80C32 and had to inform customer last
year that the product was no longer available. We are working from limited
old stock on hand and had considered moving to the 44 pin plcc device in an
adapter or change the board layout but vendors have advised me when stock is
gone that will be end for it too.
That is the current vendor information I have to work from
There are some still to be found on ebay as NOS and of course import knock
off clones. Caveat Emptor.
