I needed to replace several bulbs in the dial of my Triton 1 and since they
illuminate from the side of the bulb rather than the end on the slide-rule
display, I could not use LEDs as I had done in other replacements. I found
Radio Shack has suitable miniature lamps with leads that worked fine. I seem
to recall there was a need to adjust from 6v to 12v or vice-versa, but that
was easy to do by wiring in parallel instead of series (or vice versa) and
adding or changing a dropping resistor. Anyway, they have worked fine since
doing that.
