If you can, return the DX Engineering product and check the universal sequencer 
out by:

I have one and found that it does everything I need it to and N1KW, the owner, 
is very helpful in solving any issues you may have.  In fact, he designed this 
because the DX Engineering unit wasn't that versatile.
