Mike, I explained how both versions can be true.
Jack and I still exchange emails regularly.
I KNOW why 12m was not in the radio. We discussed this and I told he for a QRP
radio, it would have been better to leave out 160m. Of course contesters would
disagree.
As I said, it might also be deemed a cost issue because they would have needed
to get a larger box.

that’s the story I got from John Henry.
I was one of the beta tester for that rig and that question came up right from
the start. Where were 60 and 12 meters. That’s what John Heny told the group of
beta testers.
If and when Mike gets the Argonaut VI back into production, from my point of
view, I’d go with 60 meters and forget 12….but that’s just me
