One should complete the trouble shooting before crying for help - that one 
being me.


The Omni VI did not fail - the power supply did!  I changed to another supply 
and no more problem.


Thanks for all the suggestions on who could repair an O6.  I'll keep those 
replies for future reference. 


I may well need that info in the future.
