Radio will be fine passing through the imaging machine at passenger
screening. It will also be fine if you check it. Just pack it well. I
usually pack radio in carry on size roller but when they offer to check it
through, I let them check it. I'd rather not deal with carry on and neither
would the cabin crew. This approach gets the bag checked without the fee!
