Is it doing that on all the bands or just some of them? It could be bad 
soldering on the VCO board. My Paragon only does it on 160 and 75 meters, I 
just have to re-flow the solder for that VCO, a lot of delicate work.

Start by opening it up and applying DeOxit to every connector. Unplug,
apply DeOxit, replug. Be careful there my be some connectors that can be
plugged back in offset by one or more pins, incorrectly.
