You have a nice one! I have just purchased a 705 Microphone, and ordered a
V9 upgrade chip. My set has the 1.8 KHz and .5 KHz filters in it, which
is fine since I'm on ssb all the time. Been looking at mods on TT Wiki and
might incorporate some after I align and tune it up.
Many years ago I had a Omni V but upgraded to an Omni VI. Then I got it
upgraded to later version. Bottom line was I liked the V so much better,
even with its "faults". Sold the VI, and didn't buy another until the
Triton IV I have now. Was funny that I had a dream that a V would be for
sale at the hamfest, and it was. So, I just had to get it. Most Sundays I
check into the 20M TT net, and maybe we can hear each other and have a
QSO. Have fun with yours.
