FWIW, Groups.io was started in September of 2014. And it can import all of
Yahoo group data. And it WORKS. And I wish every Yahoo group I am a member of
would transfer there. In the long run, the moderator would probably have less
work and frustration by doing so NOW.

Hi guys and gals,
Until recently, most of the Ten-Tec
groups were located on Yahoo!Groups.
Ongoing problems with Yahoo this past
year has motivated us to move the
groups to a new home.
We have moved the following groups to
"Groups.io":
>> OMNI VII: https://groups.io/g/TentecOmniVII / Group Owner:
K4TAX;
Moderators: N4QEA & DJ0IP
>> EAGLE: https://groups.io/g/TenTecEagle / Group Owner: DJ0IP;
Moderators: K4TAX
>> Argonaut VI: https://groups.io/g/TentecArgonautVI / Group
Owner:
K4TAX; Moderators: N4QEA & DJ0IP
Groups.io is a relatively new Groups
provider and uses a more modern
software than Yahoo. It has
additional features that Yahoo did not offer,
AND more important, you don't have to
have a Yahoo email account or any
other "required" email account to
participate. Any valid email account will
work.
You don't have to be an owner of one of
these radios to join the group. All
you need is an interest in the radio
and the discipline to behave yourself.
(BTW, I have to struggle with that last
requirement - hi)
We do require two things:
1) All people applying for membership
state their full name and call sign.
2) All members sign each and every post
with their call sign and name (or
handle: i.e., "Doc").
This second requirement is easy to do,
due to one of Group.io's advanced
features.
Each member may edit his/her profile
and create an electronic signature that
is added automatically to each post
they make.
The e-signature is only added to the
posts you make within the group, not to
any other emails you create and send.
BTW, SWL's without a call sign are also
welcome, but in this case we will
have a brief email exchange to assure
it is an SWL and not a SPAMMER.
Just send us a membership request and
write a few words about your interest
in the radio.
