I agree with Bob's suggestions regarding the Molex connector. There have been
several threads regarding problems with this connector over the years and
issues seem to be made worse by any strain on the power cable.

Check the 2 pin Molex connector on the radio. With multiple insertions and the
current draw, the tin contacts are noted to heat and loosen and thus not make
good contact with the cable contacts. Look for any discoloring on either
connector. If discoloring exists, replace both male and female connectors.
I'd replace the original connector with PowerPole circuit board mounting
connectors and likewise, change the power cable connector. Also, be sure the
radio power cable is connected direct to the power supply and not through a DC
Distribution panel or strip.
